Our client is a highly respected leading non-government child safety and family care organisation run by an independent Board of Directors. Incorporated in Australia they have provided for decades the best quality support to disadvantaged children and young people.  From offering adoption and foster care, to adolescent and family support, they have helped over 13,000 people in this last year. 

The opportunity
This organisation has two unique offerings, a commercial recruitment function providing other suppliers of children services, permanent and contract recruitment services and an internal recruitment function providing 200+ pivotal hires a year to ensure the continued success of our client.  We are looking for the General Manager to manage both and report to the Executive Management team, delivering on their strategic and growth plans.

Their are 3 main areas of focus:

  • driving sales and new business through successfully mentoring, coaching and managing the external recruitment team
  • ensuring the recruitment of their internal staff is performed in a responsive, timely and productive manner
  • ensuring quality and processes for both recruitment teams, including all compliance matters, are maintained to the highest standard
Who you will be
We are looking for an experieced recruitment manager who has a connection to Social Care and understands the unique requirements of the aged care, disability, children and family and vulnerable adults sectors - you may be working in these sectors now, or have a personal connection to them. 

You will have managed sizeable teams, both from an agency perspective and preferably have exposure to RPO/MSP delivery.  You will have managed all operational elements of a business from strategic planning to execution, financial management from budget setting to P&L delivery, staff management from attraction to ongoing performance, and client management again from attraction to delivery.  

You will be a highly empathetic and collaborative communicator, being able to read your audience.  You will be self motivated, open to feedback, have the ability to engage teams, and set a positive, caring culture.
